You can actually pay for the upgrade and receive the pro software if you want to have multi-monitor support etc.

The flickering definately occurs when the ambient light adjustment is taking place. You see the red light cycle and then a second or so after, you get the flicker. That said, it's only very occasionally it happens. I've vaguely associated it with the computer being worked hard, so it may just be that it runs slow when the computer is busy, so you notice the changeover, where it would otherwise be so quick you hardly notice it.

I use two different brand monitors, and as near as it matters, they display the same colours, so that's all you can ask. Like Ronseal...does what it says on the tin!

One other thing I forgot to mention in my original post is how easy it is to calibrate the second monitor. You simply drag the software to whichever monitor you want to calibrate. Simple and intuitive!

Thanks for leaving your thoughts! I'd love to hear from other huey or huey pro users as to their experiences!n506https://www.blogger.com/profile/06611267218004453911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6851855957680540394.post-51496898188851749692008-12-15T21:03:00.000+00:002008-12-15T21:03:00.000+00:00I bought the original Huey a while back and also f...I bought the original Huey a while back and also found it to be a great product. (Apparently the Huey and Huey Pro are identical hardware, it's only the software that changes.) The difference it made working with my old CRT was incredible.

I find LCD screens provide better adjustment out of the box than my CRTs ever did, but I'd still say the Huey is an essential bit of kit. The ambient light adjustment alone is well worth it. I've never had any troubles with the screen flickering as you describe, though the red light cycle is too distracting to run an adjustment every minute for me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
